Abstract

The rapid growth of the world population has intensified the need for increased food production, leading to scientific efforts aimed at accelerating the growth of plants and animals. However, these efforts have sometimes resulted in undesirable outcomes, such as uncontrolled cell growth that can lead to conditions like cancer. Proper regulation of cell size is essential for maintaining healthy organisms. This study focuses on the relationship between ion concentrations and cell size in animal cells. A mathematical model was developed to simulate ion transport optimization and analyze its effects on cellular size using MATLAB SIMULINK. The study reveals that precise modulation of specific ion levels is key to controlling cell size, with potential implications for treating conditions related to abnormal cell growth. This research enhances our understanding of the relationship between ion concentration and cell size, providing insights for future applications in bioengineering and medical treatments.
