Abstract

The design, fabrication, and performance evaluation of a dual condenser and evaporator ice block making machine for domestic, hotel, and marketplace usage. The machine was constructed using affordable and durable materials, with a design emphasis on optimizing performance and longevity. the machine was evaluated using three types of water: tap water, hot water, and salt water (water with impurities). The results demonstrated that the machine could freeze 200 kg of tap water in approximately four hours, which was notably faster than the time required for hot water and salt water. The 200kg hot water freeze at six hours while salt water did not freeze completely, highlighting its high capacity and efficiency. The study concludes that the fabricated ice block machine is an effective and versatile solution for ice production. Its cost-effectiveness, combined with a projected lifespan of four years, makes it a viable option for a wide range of users. The machine’s rapid freezing capabilities and ability to handle different water conditions reinforce its applicability in diverse settings. Future research may focus on further enhancing the machines performance and energy efficiency.
