Simulation of Cloud-native Microservices-based Architecture for Power Applications
Abstract
The modernization of power grids through the adoption of microservice architecture plays a crucial role in enhancing the availability, reliability, and scalability required by diverse consumers, including households and industries. This paper presents a transition from traditional monolithic systems to a cloud-based microservice framework, which not only facilitates streamlined deployment on cloud platforms but also leverages precise mathematical models to optimize node distribution and microservice configurations. Additionally, the proposed architecture offers new market opportunities by providing more flexible, efficient, and scalable functionalities compared to conventional monolithic systems. Simulation has shown a comparative analysis of performance metrics between the monolithic and microservice-based architectures demonstrates the significant improvements in system efficiency and scalability, aligning with the core benefits of cloud computing paradigms.
