Unraveling the Dynamics of Government–Public Interactions through Tribal Networks
Abstract
This chapter explores the relationship between governments and the public, focusing on the role of tribal networks in shaping interactions. These networks connect communities with shared interests and operate independently of formal government structures, empowering individuals to influence decisions. The chapter examines how tribal networks facilitate communication, helping governments understand public sentiment and co-create policies that align with community needs. However, they can also present challenges by creating alternative power structures that may challenge traditional authority. By analyzing case studies, the chapter aims to identify strategies for effective collaboration among all stakeholders, promoting more inclusive governance while addressing complexities.
