It outlines the key stages of securing and preparing for placement, and explores how to maximise learning through active engagement, communication, and collaboration. The chapter also introduces the concept of reflective practise – what it is, why it matters, and how to apply it effectively. Emphasis is placed on the value of lifelong learning and continued professional development, encouraging students to take ownership of their journey towards becoming confident, capable, and adaptable GSRs.
