Abstract

This chapter examines both the theoretical and practical considerations when considering ethical behaviour in a storytelling context. It foregrounds the relational nature of the storytelling exchange and reciprocity between storyteller and story listener. Drawing on the current literature on ethical storytelling, it proposes a new model of care-driven storytelling practice with the teller at its heart.
