Introduction
Abstract
Working with Adults with Acquired Brain Injury is a clinical handbook for the working speech and language therapist (SLT), acting as a reference and a sourcebook for evidence-based approaches. It is written for clinicians who aim to transcend diagnostic labels and work in a holistic patient-centred model to meet the activity and participation goals of adults who have sustained brain injury. The book presents updated evidence and showcases treatment approaches and tools illustrated with case examples to enable SLTs to achieve better quality of life for PwBI and their families through communication and swallow intervention.
