Abstract

Therapists’ attitudes about technology may influence their creative use of technological resources, assessments, and interventions. Likewise, a therapist’s own enjoyment of particular digital tools, or lack thereof, may influence the tools that they make available in teletherapy services, whether or not these tools may be of benefit to clients. This chapter provides a list of questions that are designed to encourage therapists to evaluate their attitudes about technology and its use in therapy. This assessment may be used as an initial check-in and revisited over time to reflect on self-of-the-therapist dynamics that may impact one’s use of digital tools in therapy assessment and intervention.
