Abstract

Maintaining an adequate amount of energy is imperative in conducting sustainable therapy with children and adolescents. When practicing via teletherapy, both therapists and clients run the risk of lessened energy during sessions. When the energy in teletherapy sessions is low, children and adolescents may redirect their energy toward alternative sources. This chapter offers suggestions for therapists to maintain high levels of energy to bolster engagement of children, adolescents, and their families throughout teletherapy sessions.
