Breaking Up Sessions
Abstract
Sitting in front of a computer for an entire therapy session can be difficult for many children and adolescents. This can be especially challenging for those who spend the majority of the day sitting in a classroom and for those who more generally struggle with sitting still and maintaining focus, such as those with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. This chapter presents ideas for various activities that can be utilized to “break up” sessions and actively engage children and adolescents throughout teletherapy.
