Abstract

Having physical puppets available for use in teletherapy can be useful for many activities, especially when working with children who tend to be quieter or more resistant in therapy. Hand puppets, however, can be expensive, especially when building a collection with a variety of options. This chapter describes several cost-effective ways in which clients and therapists may create or acquire puppets for use in these activities, including (1) sock puppets, (2) paper bag puppets, (3) stuffed animal puppets, and (4) finger puppets.
