Abstract

In this book, we highlight key findings from our research on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected London’s diverse multilingual communities. These groups play a vital role in the city’s social fabric and faced unique challenges during the pandemic, such as losing essential face-to-face interactions. However, they effectively utilised international and multilingual resources to navigate the crisis. We hope that the testimonies contained in this book will help to better understand diverse languages and cultures, and that our research results will aid in mitigating future disaster situations, ultimately leading to fewer casualties and more resilience across all communities.
