Afterword

This book is the net result of a decade of collaboration. Many steps in our respective and shared journeys helped to build our understanding, including massive amounts of reading; conversations with peers, mentors, and consultees; and the process of synthesizing ideas through numerous presentations at local, national, and international conferences. Although books are generally not considered a ‘peer reviewed’ source for citation purposes, we received comprehensive feedback from multiple reviewers, some of whom are experienced authors and editors in their own right. We are immensely grateful for the feedback, which helped us correct, clarify, and further bridge gaps evident in the working drafts of the book. Some of these reviewers generously provided the endorsements that are found on the front pages and back cover of this text.
