Anti-racist ideology
Abstract
There is a vast literature on racist ideology, but not on anti-racist ideology. Against the background of my earlier theoretical and empirical studies of ideology, racist discourse and the history of anti-racist discourse, this chapter proposes a theoretical framework of anti-racist ideology and how to apply it in a systematic ideological analysis of anti-racist discourse. For reviews of the vast general literature on ideology, I refer to other chapters in the handbook.
