Abstract
Islamic aesthetics covers a variety of areas, most of which cannot be covered in a single chapter. Consequently, this chapter will be limited to a very brief overview of selected areas under three subheadings: art and artistic representation, decoration and calligraphy; music and singing; and mosque architecture.
