Conclusion
Abstract
This concluding chapter presents reflections on the entangled methodological and empirical contributions of an affective approach to researching sexual violence. The chapter reflects on the book as an affective archive which acts as a powerful counternarrative to dominant representations of rape. It reflects on the research as a form of affective witnessing and vulnerable writing, highlighting the emotional challenges this work entails, as well as how affective approaches can be extended by creative and participatory forms of research. The chapter ends with some reflections on dismantling rape culture and the cultivation of breathing zones.
