Abstract

This chapter will introduce and discuss the advantages and limitations of a range of methods that have been used in experimental and clinical neuropsychology, including standardised psychometric tests, interviews, and observation, and how these are combined with brain imaging and other emerging techniques, in different study designs, such as group studies, case studies, and single case experimental studies, to expand our understanding of brain functioning and illness or injury.
