Abstract

The contemporary challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, which originated locally in Wuhan, China and spread to nearly every country in the world. This threatens the existence and present well-being of human civilization. Globally, comprehensive plans and resources were established by WHO to safeguard nations with a focus on those with less developed and less robust health systems. The main goals of the world nations are to reduce the spread of viruses in society, raise awareness about virus mutation, offer adequate healthcare, and to minimize social and economic losses. The Indian government has made a significant effort to increase public awareness by disseminating information through a variety of trustworthy sources and by offering medical services. Migrant workers were required to return to their home states without sufficient transportation or basic safety precautions like face masks, social distancing, or hygiene practices, which were fueling an upsurge in in the spread of infectious disease. The purpose of this chapter is to aid in the planning and selection of the approaches to combat the coronavirus. It also aims to gauge people’s level of exposure while going to work and interacting with others, how serious the threat of the virus is perceived in society, public awareness of government-provided healthcare services, and general knowledge of the coronavirus, its symptoms, and ways to prevent it.
