Abstract

This chapter explains how psychodrama can be an effective modality to treat compulsive sexual behaviours by working through shame in trauma-informed methods. Psychodrama is based on the neuroscience knowledge of trauma as well as in the spiritual realms, offering unique and creative therapeutic processes to help clients make profound changes to their lives, not only cognitively but also somatically. The author presents case studies to illustrate the creativity and the effectiveness of psychodrama related to the treatment of sexual compulsivity.
