Abstract

The predominant focus of this chapter is, as the chapter title suggests, what schools can do to provide rigorous curriculum (in mathematical sciences). Overlaid with this topic are issues of equity and artificial intelligence (AI). The landscape of gifted education (in mathematics) is rapidly evolving and often learning facilitators may be expected to do more than they have done historically with less resources. Hence, learning episodes must be carefully orchestrated to mesh students&s; strengths and weaknesses with components such as AI, innovative curricular approaches such as mathematical modeling, and knowledge of student anxiety.
