Procurement strategy and organization

At the end of this chapter you should be able to: Evaluate the changing business context affecting procurement strategy; Apply a sustainable procurement maturity model to diagnose how mature procurement is within a given organization; Analyze different organizational structures of the procurement function and how these might need to be adapted to better address sustainability requirements; Identify skills and competence requirements for the development of the procurement function including those that relate to sustainability; Evaluate the particular characteristics of public sector procurement, the complexities of public procurement and how it can be used as a lever for sustainable development.
