Abstract

The primary session goals are to review and practice the steps for organizing one&s;s backpack and for creating a binder organization system. The Problem Solving Plan for each teen is reviewed as a group, and solutions, plans and expectations, and rewards are modified as needed. In the large group, caregivers and teens review and see examples of how to organize their materials in their backpack and in their binder. In the teen group, teens discuss how their Problem Solving Plan went over the last week and practice creating a binder organization system with their materials (e.g., folders, notebooks, planner). In the caregiver group, caregivers discuss how their teen&s;s Problem Solving Plan went over the last week and trouble shoot how to edit the current solutions and add a solution related to organizing their teen&s;s backpack or binder. For the Real World Practice Assignment, the teen and their caregiver will update their Problem Solving Plan and continue working on 1–3 solutions.
