Abstract

Jacob Rajan and Justin Lewis examine their work and its origins, referencing their inspirations, including John Bolton in Australia, and the beginnings of their company, Indian Ink. Together they detail the techniques they use in devising new material for the stage, with Commedia dell’Arte and mask as a returning reference point. They explore the principles that inform their practice of both creation and touring and reflect upon the many influences they draw upon for their work.
