Abstract

This chapter presents the data and data collection approach, as well as the methodology used to analyse it. The methodology, called Keyword Co-occurrence Analysis, is a complex approach, which requires some specialist knowledge to understand. This chapter thus begins with a simplified summary of the technique. The chapter then goes on to describe the datasets (the HPV vaccination Twitter corpus and the Reference Twitter corpus), including their make-up and how they were collected. Readers interested in the finer details of Keyword Co-occurrence Analysis can continue to read the remainder of the chapter, which provides the rationale for its use in this study, its theoretical underpinnings, and a detailed description of the various steps involved in this study. Other readers are advised to move on to Chapter 3 for the results.
