Teasing out threads
Abstract
This chapter explores in more depth four themes that have emerged across the book as a whole: the impact of the context in which the book has been written; the problematic nature of memory; notions of place and space, family and home; and lastly, encounters with files and records. We are not seeking to answer questions or resolve issues in this chapter. Instead, our hope is to reach a better understanding of the complexity of this field of enquiry.
