Abstract

This chapter begins by defining organizational transformation, explores triggers for transformation in organizations, and reviews both external and internal trends that can trigger such a process. The key concepts around organizational transformation are then taken up, compared, and contrasted. This will be followed by conceptual inputs around incremental, planned, and emergent change that organizations experience. The chapter concludes by introducing various transformation models and why Appreciative Inquiry is perhaps one of the most comprehensive and effective of them all.
