DRENCH

This is heart of the book. We introduce the concept of Drench that we “discovered” in our experiences with using Appreciative Inquiry for organizational transformation. We bring our understanding of Drench when we published a paper in the OD Review in 2019 and our subsequent additions to the same. Drench is articulated both as a separate stage after Dream and before Design and also as an intermediate process between all the other stages of the 6-D Model. The chapter includes our journey of creation of Drench, the parallels we see between Drench and U- theory, Theory of Transitions, Non-Duality, and Prana. Drench helps us to keep this spirit of Ai alive by constantly asking us to look within and see ourselves as part of the system. When we drench, we see how the energies for transformation are not out there, but firmly within.
