Nurture Use of “Us”

This chapter is a story of an Appreciative Inquiry based consulting assignment where we experienced how the consulting team work together positively impacting the client system. We have coined the word “Use of Us” expanding on the famous concept of “Use of Self” Consultants’ need to be drenched in the same theme (for example: Collaboration) as that we are working to bring about transformation in the client system. This story is also told from the lens of the three consultants – one external (author) and two internal (contributors) and they tell their stories in different ways, one even as a fairy tale! I conclude this chapter saying “ I need drench myself into “Use of Self” when I facilitate a client to transform and I need to similarly drench into “Use of ’” when I work with clients internal consulting team. These are pre-requisites in our work”
