Abstract
Nature also has death and decay, alongside the beauty and new growth. A creative connection with nature gives us the opportunity to explore these opposites and to learn to welcome them both. This chapter focuses on the decay, death and rebirth processes. It explores the darkness of the natural world and what we learn from it. It ends with five activities for creative exploration and explains what a child will learn from each one.
