Abstract

What happens to the mind, the heart, and the soul when our lives slow down? Whether from sickness, loneliness, career change or conclusion, or some other inflection point in life, what can be expected from a season of inner quiet? This is the journey characterized in this chapter as an immortality project. Using stories of reflection, of family, and his search for ways to live a life of influence and impact, the author finds the path is about more than looking forward. Leaving a legacy must include an objective look backward and inward as we navigate times with less to do and yet more to be.
