Abstract

This chapter outlines the conceptual framework underpinning the international La relación entre las narrativas y el desarrollo de la resiliencia en los profesores (NARRES) study, as well as its specific application to the Australian research project, contextualised in the Australian national and provincial education systems. The chapter highlights the significance of focusing on teachers&s; success strategies and also on the teachers&s; sharing of their narratives of motivation and resilience. The research project&s;s research design is explained, including its approaches to data collection, data analysis and research ethics, and the remaining chapters in the book are introduced. The chapter concludes by highlighting the book&s;s intended wider significance and broader national and international contribution to enriching current understandings of teachers&s; work and identities.
