Abstract

The COVID-19 coronavirus global pandemic from 2019 to 2023 affected life in every nation and potentially every profession in the world. Certainly, Australian teachers were challenged to move teaching and learning to online educational platforms and to both synchronous and asynchronous environments. This chapter explores the research participants’ success strategies as comforts for engaging effectively with this challenge, thereby navigating the pandemic successfully and sustainably, while acknowledging the complexities, challenges and contradictions in doing so. More broadly, these strategies reflect teachers&s; capacity for apprehending and navigating complex and fast-paced changes and continuities in their students’ and their own environments and lives.
