Abstract

Ensuring quality is the hallmark of a good data analysis process and presentation of findings. If you are not transparent in the way you develop codes, categories and themes, it is likely that your readers will not trust the findings. Another strategy that could increase the credibility of findings is to work with participants to prepare and analyze data. In this chapter, I provide specific actions to be taken to promote transparency in the coding process and credibility in the results.
