Abstract

This chapter explored how AI models are developed and how they function. I discussed different types of prompts, including when and how to use them effectively, and demonstrated their application through practical use cases. I also examined three different kinds of AI models suited for qualitative analysis. Building on these insights, I shared my personal perspective on integrating AI into the qualitative data analysis process, emphasizing the core message that AI does the heavy lifting, and we do the critical thinking. I concluded the chapter by addressing the limitations of AI models and discussing key ethical considerations for their use in qualitative research.
