Abstract

The smooth running of the coding process partly depends on how well you compile the documents, transcribe the interview audios and videos, label artifacts, prepare field notes, and match participants’ data to their respective demographic information. I begin this chapter by discussing the kinds of data that qualify to be qualitatively analyzed and examine when to do manual or software-aided coding. The chapter ends with specific actions you could take to ensure that your data is ready for analysis.
