Abstract

Those striving for social justice in the field of enrollment management contend with a field rife with barriers that are historical, structural, and politically charged. This chapter identifies these barriers, establishes a foundation for change, and offers guidance for leaders and practitioners who wish to advance equity in their work and in the profession. It is a reflection from a seasoned enrollment leader who has led enrollment divisions at public and private research universities and who has both taught and conducted research in the field.
