Abstract

The final chapter offers a discussion of the future of Latinx youth literature. We draw attention to author perspectives to provide insight into the future of the field and the constraints authors continue to face as ethnic and racial minorities in a publishing industry that is still overwhelmingly white. We also explore how transgender and nonbinary Latinx authors are positioned to be the next paradigmatic shift within the field.
