Abstract

The National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is one of 11 colleges at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). The colleges focus on technology, art, and design; include an intentional focus on innovation and creativity; and have a strong coop and career-services program. In 2017, RIT had over 15,000 undergraduate students, with 1,300 who were deaf or hard of hearing (DHH). DHH students were either affiliated with NTID in particular, or with another of RIT’s colleges, and they received access and accommodation services through NTID.
