Abstract

Reflective practice is a skill that can support personal and professional growth. Growth requires teachers to learn new skills (packing), revise or abandon practices (unpacking), and select a fresh path (repacking). When mid-career teachers become contemplative about the future, teachers can design their own individualized professional development. Embracing and acknowledging the role that reflective practice can play both personally and professionally is the focus of this chapter.
