Abstract

The journey through the digital mirror has revealed a profound and often unsettling truth: artificial intelligence, far from being a neutral technological force, acts as a potent reflector and refractor of the human psyche. From the unwitting biases embedded deep within its sprawling code to its astonishing capacity for manufacturing realities, influencing our most intimate thoughts, and fundamentally reshaping our economic value, AI consistently demonstrates a dynamic and deeply intertwined interplay with our deepest, often unexamined, unconscious processes. Through the illuminating lens of psychoanalytic concepts, particularly the intricate dance of projection and projective identification, we have explored how our collective anxieties, our ingrained biases, and our deepest desires are not merely reflected by AI but are actively shaped and amplified through it, leading to unprecedented forms of algorithmic influence and a profound societal redefinition.
