Introduction
Abstract
In the present discussion on gender and power, it has become clear how important it is to look at economic disparity from a variety of angles that are specific to each situation. The complicated and potentially cumulative nature of structural disadvantage in the Global South makes this even more urgent. This volume presents a unique collection of chapters that look at how gender, class, caste, race, ethnicity, and location all work together and how they affect people&s;s experiences of empowerment and inequality. This book aims to shed light on different ways of comprehending and resisting that come from the Global South, while also helping us understand systemic exclusion better.
