Abstract

In today’s interconnected world, young people are learning to see themselves not just as members of their local communities, but also as part of a larger global society. Connecting beyond borders means embracing differences, while understanding one’s own place in the wider world. This involves cultivating values, attitudes, and qualities that encourage openness and respect in engaging with others. The digital age offers opportunities to form supportive communities online and to participate in global causes and movements that inspire positive change. At the same time, it is equally important to learn how to stay safe while navigating this shared space. Building awareness, resilience, and responsibility helps ensure that global connections remain meaningful, empowering, and secure for everyone.
