The Right to Leave a Planet
Abstract
As a climate activist who has been an active participant of the Fridays For Future movement since 2020, I have often found myself thinking about the difference in conceptions between my generation and those that came before us. This is not only a discontinuity in the way we see the years ahead, but also in the way we conceive our legacy from previous generations. Put simply, I cannot imagine my future as a continuation of what my parents’ generation started, but more as an attempt to repair what they have destroyed.
