Abstract

There is growing interest in the forensic field in the concept of nature connectedness and its mediating properties on human health and wellbeing. Through a trauma-informed lens, this chapter explores how Nature-Based Interventions (NBIs) can be applied in forensic contexts with emphasis on building service user’s internal resources through nature connectedness. Examples from real-life practice are offered, and consideration is given to how NBIs can be applied to employee assistance programmes for staff working in forensic settings.
