Abstract

Psychoanalysis illuminates how childhood affects adult lives: how we find our way in the world, organize our strengths and suffering, and come to understand ourselves. At the same time, the intensity and seclusion of adult analyses tempt analysts to overlook the world beyond the consulting room. This book is an attempt to bridge this gap.
