The aim of this concluding chapter is to tie together the findings of the chapters, revisit the evidence of blockchain’s potential, and draw key lessons from the chapters. The primary focus has been on understanding the gap between successful instances of blockchain pilots in public governance and their subsequent full-scale deployment. The chapter also highlights some limitations of the research that comprises the volume, while laying out interesting areas of future research that would take the enquiry of this volume forward.
