Abstract

This introductory chapter lays out the urgent need to rethink leadership in an era defined by unprecedented disruption and complexity. Traditional models built on predictable cycles no longer apply in a world marked by volatile, anxious, and incomprehensible challenges. Leadership today requires visionary architects who design adaptive organizations centered on learning agility, collaboration, and systemic resilience. The chapter highlights a shift from control to adaptability and will emphasize the importance of human-centered design, emotional intelligence, and inclusion. It calls on leaders to embrace uncertainty, actively shape change, and foster conditions where innovation will thrive amid constant transformation. Leadership is repositioned as an intentional act of envisioning and building the future rather than merely reacting to it.
