Abstract

In a world flooded with narratives and noise, how do we ensure that the stories we tell serve something greater than sales? This chapter introduces the Visionary Gyroscope – a conceptual framework for marketing education that prioritises wonder, wisdom, and meaning. Drawing from philosophy, literature, and design, it urges educators to move beyond technique and towards transformation. Through story, reflection, and creative practice, students are invited to become not only skilled marketers but also thoughtful storytellers and responsible meaning-makers. The aim is not to constrain imagination but to direct it with purpose – so that marketing becomes not manipulation, but a force for insight, empathy, and connection.
