Abstract

Relationships can break down – whether between managers and team members or among team members themselves. This chapter provides six case studies of situations where this has happened, providing pointers and considerations should you find yourself in a similar situation. The scenarios cover key themes that can come up in modern workplaces, including conflict between managers and colleagues, performance issues, confidence, and poor mental health. The reader is invited to consider how they can apply the information from previous chapters in responding to each situation. The authors offer their perspective on how each situation might be handled.
