Conclusion
Abstract
This chapter offers a comprehensive framework for food adaptation, connectivity, transformation, and identity, drawing on the insights of 13 chapters, framed within a transdisciplinary and transcultural body of research. These insights cover research and studies in cultural identities, migration, performance, pedagogy, ecology, and urban and social design. By emphasising ecological, material, sensory, cultural, socio-economic, and political dimensions, this volume addresses the challenges of instrumental perspectives in food design research by focusing on relational, place-based, and ethically grounded approaches. This framework serves as a guide for scholarly inquiry and practical transformations within food systems, policy, and design research.
